Life is busy, and so often we choose what’s quick and easy. As a mother of four, working full-time while running my own business, I truly understand what hectic means. The last thing I want to do is squeeze in another errand to grab a last-minute birthday gift for a classmate. Gift cards are easy - easier than cash, really - and who carries cash anymore??!!?? While I appreciate the convenience of gift cards, even customized ones for special occasions, I’ve come to realize they’re not for me. To me, that’s giving, not gifting.

Blue Moon Gifting was created during a moment of self-doubt, when I questioned whether this was just an impulse decision. One week later, after playing a few rounds of phone tag, a colleague called to tell me, “In 2025, you gave someone the perfect Christmas gift.” It was just a small gift for the holidays - an ID card holder as a few hours earlier, he was trying to tape his old one together.
